8 THINGS TO REMEMBER ABOUT YOUR PERIOD

REMEMBER THAT EVERY SINGLE PERSON IS DIFFERENT - WHAT’S NORMAL FOR YOU, MIGHT NOT BE NORMAL FOR SOMEBODY ELSE.

  1. Your period is UNIQUE to you. Your mam has them, your aunty Jen, even your younger sister might have hers but none of you will have the same period ever. And that my darling girl, is totally fine and normal! Remember, just like the rest of us, no one person is the same and that is what makes you bloody special and unique.

  2. You should NOT be ashamed about having your period. Bleeding on a regular basis is an amazing ability that allows us so much. It means we can potentially grow and birth a baby, it means that every month our body is giving itself a new start. Isn’t that kinda cool?

  3. Talking about your period is A-ok! Got that? Now, we’re not saying your dad wants to hear about it over spaghetti bolognese BUT, it is not something you should be keeping secret, scared to talk about or keep to yourself. Half the population pretty much have a period, it is totally normal and amazing. Your body is doing an amazing thing

  4. Don’t be surprised if your period changes throughout the course of your life...even within your first 5 years of having a period. Intensity will go up and down, heaviness will change, even the colour of your blood will change and that is A-OK

  5. Having your period is damn as fuck amazing. Not every woman is lucky to have one so be thankful for it everytime it comes.

  6. Never, NEVER ever let having your period stop you from doing something. You can still run to your heart’s content (unlike founder Jette with her double G fun bags and running is uncomfy as hell), you can swim it out, you can dance all night, you can do whatever the hell you want girl. And we don’t just mean that in relation to your period. You can do whatever the hell you want.

  7. Always be mindful of how others feel when they’re on their period. You know it, sometimes it sucks! Sometimes it’s fine, just remember you might have mild cramps, lisa down the road might get excruciating ones. Just help each other out. By supporting each other, we raising each other….competition isn’t worth it when it comes to each other, we’ll be so better off supporting.

  8. Always be you. Don’t let anyone judge you or get you down for how you deal with your period darling. Whether you free bleed, use a menstrual cup, use tampons. It’s whatever works for you and if we can help you finding the product that works best for you, our job is half way done!
